Pardonnez nos enfances
Photographic essay on the places of my childhood
In 2007, as I was finishing my college studies, I decided to go back to photograph the SPACES where I grew up: my home - up until 14 - and my school. Funny how 15 years seemed such a long time back then :)
Both experiences were quite strong and it came out on the pictures. Funny also I had Tugstene film (quite by chance, both times) and the blue tint gives the images an aura of the past, I feel.
It was really the details that were strongest. The pattern of the pavement, the garbage can, the white plastic benches we threw inside the pool still there, the precise places we used to play with the kids in the block (the borders of the stairs, of the grass), a door I couldn´t open one day for I was too small and it was too heavy, ...
A very melancholic survey.
